If you are getting a lot of \bin\*.xlog files you might want to try the following.

Note: If you are curious you can use my free IdeDebug addin to view the contents of the xlog files before you delete them. For my own personal curiosity, let me know if you are seeing anything other than what is mentioned here.

The most common one is this:

SoftVelocity.TextTransform has not been loaded because it requires
SoftVelocity.GeneratorX.

To stop it, delete or rename this file:

I like to rename them by adding “.bak” to the extension so “SoftVelocity.TextTransform.addin” becomes “SoftVelocity.TextTransform.addin.bak”. As long as they no longer end in “addin” the IDE will not attempt to load them.

Others you might be seeing:

Note: These are for the “Professional Edition” of Clarion only

ClarionWindowsSubVersionAddin has not been loaded…

To stop it, delete or rename this file:

DataDictionaryImportExport has not been loaded…

To stop it, delete or rename this file:

These are mostly just installer issues and left overs from SoftVelocity in-house versions and to the best of my knowledge there is no harm in preforming the above actions.
